When Des Shipp came to the team at Sonubaits and asked for a strong fishmeal groundbait for deeper water, the challenge was on.

50/50 uses a blend of crushed pellets and fishmeals with a higher density and oil content to create a mix that is not only heavy, but binds in a way that helps it get to the bottom on deeper venues.

This combination of ingredients has now stood the test of time and become a firm favourite with the Sonubaits consultants across a variety of different venues.

Des Shipp:  “50/50 is my go to groundbait in deeper water, especially when targeting bream and an odd carp.  The strong fishmeal smell seems to hold fish in the peg for ages, with the Green version being a particular favourite of mine in slightly clearer water.  One the best things about this groundbait is that it works perfectly on a method feeder and on the pole meaning I only need one mix to keep catching all session.”
